All 4 - IDENT The length of each ident from All 4 are very short, 5 seconds each. Each individual ident gets its point across with what genre show is about to come on. for example (0:07) into the video its suggests that a program that to do with insects, outdoors, nature, etc. Each ident is very minimal and simplistic, every All 4 ident has its modern 4 logo in the same position, enlarged. The minimal effect to each video keeps the mature audience interested and relevant even if the channel that is being represented by the ident is for the opposite age group it still relates to older age group. The target audience has many different age groups which is represented by all the different colours. All of the colours together symbolise the different types of audiences that All 4 bring together, the way the colours are all together in the ident is as if it a family are brought together. The purpose of this ident is to attract all of the different audiences into one short ident. The purpose is to resemble all of the channels, genres, audiences that All 4 has. The ident reflects the corporate identity of the channel which is entertaining and informative. Again with the colours it symbolises each channel that All 4 shows. Especially the ident with the gigantic ant that crawls over the '4' reflects the docuemenrty side which then represents the corporate identity. CBeebies - IDENT The purpose of this IDENT is to attract a younger audience (specifically 1-9 years old). The little characters in the ident show resemblance the children's energetic behaviour. The colours in the ident are pink and blue. which clearly symbolise female and male. The purpose of using both colours is purely to make sure that CBeebies attract and relate to their ident both boys and girls. I know this because in the ident when it switches background colour it is on for the same amount of time as the other colour so on specific colour isn't on for a greater amount of time. The Ident is 15 seconds long with each colour having 7 and 1/2 seconds shown. which shows that CBeebies are making sure they attract both boys and girls on a even level. The Ident reflects on the Corporate Identity of entertaining. CBeebies purpose is only to entertain. in the ident what seems to be kids laughing and singing which symbolises the ethos of the ident (to entertain). The little characters on the ident are playing around in a friendly sort of way and have smiles on their faces which reflection happy and light hearted theme. Sky Sports 1 - IDENT
The target audience of Sky Sports is mainly a manly audience as football which is displayed in the ident attracts mostly men. Although football does attract women too the ident has also made some relation to a female audience as their is a girl cheering on the football game shown in the left side of the screen. But, she is not shown as clearly as the man where the sky sports logo is over a part of him which symbolises that a male audience is Sky Sports main target audience and that women is the secondary audience. The fact that only football is shown in the Ident shows exactly to the viewers what Sky Sports 1 specifically shows and talks about, which is football. The corporate Identity reflects which is to entertain. As the fans in the ident look like they are entertained and focused it represents the competitive side and entertainment that football and this channel both have. The ident is quite simplistic in the terms of movement of the camera but the Ident as a whole their are features in it where by a lot is going on in the ident, for example a lot of movement is in the ident.
